Whether it’s the Amazon Fire TV Stick or streaming services such as Netflix, Apple seems ready to overtake the movie and television industry with its Apple TV and Apple TV Plus. The Apple TV is a digital media player and entertainment device that connects with your smart TV and functions pretty much like a Fire TV Stick. The latest 4K version, the fifth-generation model, brings 4K and HDR to better your binge-watching experience.
Apple TV’s India launch occurred around 2010. To accompany it, Apple recently launched Apple TV Plus, which includes over a dozen original titles such as Dickinson, Ghost Writer, Hala, and more.
An Apple TV+ subscription in India costs ₹99 per month and became available in November 2019. We’re still unsure about our thoughts on the streaming service (and TBH don’t think it’s worth even the 99 bucks) as it only contains a limited number of original titles, and you’ll have to pay up if you want to watch any other title available on iTunes. For now, we just don’t think it’s anywhere near the level of Netflix, Prime Video, or even Disney+, but we also hope that the coming months will change our perception.
