By now, you might have heard the news that Apple is pushing its first iPhone 12 shipping, scheduled in September, by a couple of months. Now however disappointing as it may be, this does not come as a surprise amid the COVID-19 outbreak messing up many shipping and production timelines. A new iPhone 12 report says that the California-based tech giant might be launching four new iPhone models (instead of three) in two phases! As it happens, this is the first time in Apple’s history that iPhone models might be launched in two phases. Let’s dig in more!

    What to Expect

As per sources, a total of four OLED iPhones 12 are to be expected in the next Apple iPhone launch. All the four iPhone models will be 5G enabled and may not contain EarPods or Adapters in the shipping box to cut down on costs, as we’ve already discussed. The four-model iPhone lineup will have three different sizes of 5.4 inch, 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches. Rumours suggest that the 6.7 inch ‌iPhone‌ and one 6.1-inch model will be premium iPhones (higher-end devices with triple-lens cameras) while the 5.4-inch and another 6.1-inch model will be mid-range iPhones (lower-end iPhones with dual-lens cameras).

The Two Phases of iPhone 12

The new iPhone 12 5G might be launched in two different phases, with two 6.1 inch models in the first phase and another two 6.7- and 5.4-inch iPhones in the next phase. Sources have not yet confirmed whether the delay in the iPhone launch would affect both the phases or not. We can expect more details if Apple decides to host a launch anyway in September, with the shipping being delayed nevertheless. Guess we’ll have to wait. Sigh. May we trade you in for some hot new iPhone rumours? Here you go!
