At the recent education event in Chicago, Apple launched the all-new iPad 6th generation. The iPad is now available for pre-order on Flipkart with a starting price of INR 28,000 and is expected to hit the stores soon. These iPads will be available in 32 GB and 128 GB with or without LTE support in gold, silver, and space grey colours.

The 32 GB Wi-Fi-only variant of the 2018 iPad is priced at INR 28,000 and the 128 GB Wi-Fi model retails at INR 38,600. While the 32GB LTE model is listed at INR 35,700, the 128 GB LTE model is the priciest of them all with a price tag of INR 46,300.

Flipkart also has an exchange offer which gives up to INR 16,000 in exchange for an old device along with the opportunity for clients to claim an instant discount of INR 200 and a no-cost EMI option on purchasing via an Axis Bank Buzz Credit Card.

Coming to the specifications, the new iPad is quite similar to the iPad 5th generation, apart from the fact that its 9.7-inch retina IPS display supports the Apple Pencil. There is also the Apple A10 Fusion SoC, which is a significant upgrade over the Apple A9 SoC.

The 6th gen iPad features an 8 MP rear camera and a 1.2 MP FaceTime HD camera. Although Apple’s keynote is focused on the iPad’s educational benefits, it also has a few interesting AR features like the app Froggipedia which lets students dissect a frog with the Apple Pencil.

With Apple’s own A10 Fusion chipset and iOS 11, the tablet is bound to get software support for many years and won’t get outdated anytime soon. In terms of connectivity, you will get 4G LTE and A-GPS as well as Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, and a lighting port.

Moreover, the device also sports a Touch ID fingerprint sensor and includes an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, digital compass, and a three-axis gyroscope.

Apple has also provided the latest versions of iWork and a Smart Annotation feature that is a part of the Pages app. Similarly, the company has also launched the new version of Garageband and Clips with the iPad that are specially designed for kids.
