Recently, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), India took a significant step to reduce e-waste. It issued a command to seize electronics imported on ten permits that were withdrawn from use. As a result, the customs department held products worth approx. 5,000 crore ($723 million). It included various Apple devices and also products from other brands like Samsung, Vivo, HP, and others.

Tim Cook Talks About iPhone Price Reduction in India


On May 1, Tim Cook presented a report on Apple’s earning in the second quarter of the current fiscal year. The total revenue was $58 billion (a year-on-year decline of 5%). Though the sales of iPhone and Macs dropped significantly, iPads saw a record growth with revenue up 22%. Even the services revenue touched $11.5 billion. All in all, this quarter wasn’t as bad as anaysts feared.
