Apple Creator Studio: Apple Takes On Adobe Creative Suite

Apple has taken the creative industry by a storm with the announcement of Apple Creator Studio, a new all-in-one software suite aimed especially for creators. Launching on the App Store on January 28, the subscription offers access to Apple’s most popular professional, creative apps—including Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Motion, Compressor, and MainStage.

This move feels like a direct challenge to Adobe’s Creative Cloud, which has long dominated the creative software market. With Apple Creator Studio, Apple appears ready to disrupt the subscription-based creative ecosystem—and at a price point that’s hard to ignore.

    How much does it cost?

When compared to Adobe, Apple’s pricing is remarkably competitive. Adobe Creative Cloud Pro currently costs $69.99 (~₹6,300) per month, while individual apps like Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or Illustrator are priced at $22.99 (~₹2,075) per month each.

In contrast, Globally Apple Creator Studio will be launching with a one-month free trial, followed by pricing of $12.99 per month or $129 annually. Students and educators benefit even more, with discounted pricing at $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year.

The real surprise, however, is Apple’s aggressive pricing for the Indian market. In India, Apple Creator Studio starts at ₹399 per month or ₹3,999 per year. Students can subscribe at an even lower rate of ₹199 per month or ₹1,999 annually which is basically peanuts compared to the global pricing.

Adding to the value, all new subscribers receive a one-month free trial, while buyers of a new Mac or eligible iPad get three months free. With Family Sharing, the subscription can be shared with up to six family members at no extra cost.

Have we somehow slipped into an alternate universe where Apple is generous to consumers? If so, no complaints here. Let’s just hope this pricing philosophy sticks for a long, long time.

    What’s included?

    Short answer: a lot.

Apple Creator Studio bundles a powerful lineup of apps into a single subscription. It delivers major upgrades across its apps:

Logic Pro (Mac & iPad) adds AI-powered Synth Player, Chord ID, and an expanded royalty-free Sound Library.

Final Cut Pro (Mac & iPad) introduces AI tools like Transcript Search, Visual Search, Beat Detection, and Montage Maker on iPad.

Pixelmator Pro arrives on iPad with a touch-optimised, Apple Pencil–friendly interface, featuring Super Resolution, Auto Crop, advanced masking, plus a new Warp tool and additional mockups across Mac and iPad.

So essentially, your video editing gets smarter, music production becomes more intuitive, and creative imaging sees meaningful upgrades—whatever your creative outlet, it just gets better.

Today is undeniably a great day to be a designer, content creator, or even just a creative enthusiast—especially in India. As surprising as this announcement is, Apple Creator Studio has the potential to be a genuine game changer for the creative industry.
