Each year, we wait with utmost anticipation for the holiday season to roll around. Not only does it mark the beginning of the end of the year, but it’s also packed with exciting, memorable moments—spending time with family and friends, taking a much-needed vacation, and of course, getting swept up in the never-ending saga of sales from our favourite brands.
And it goes without saying that Apple fans circle this time on their calendars, because the products they’ve been eyeing finally get “massive discounts” and become slightly less painful on the wallet. Naturally, this is also when every other website claims to have the ultimate roundup of Apple holiday deals, which only adds to the frenzy. But after sifting through most of these so-called deal guides this year, I’ve come to one conclusion: it’s all clickbait.
“iPhone 16 price drops to ₹39,990 in Croma Black Friday sale,”
“iPhone 17 price drops to ₹45,900,”

—These were the kind of headlines floating around. And of course, once you actually read the entire article, you realise these jaw-dropping prices come with conditions stacked on conditions—most of which hardly anyone can actually use. I suppose the prime goal of these articles is to increase the traffic on their websites rather than providing actually helpful information, at which they do succeed but it doesn’t not make it a lousy move.
Sure, you can argue they’re technically not wrong, but these clickbaity pieces get on my nerves because the genuinely helpful coverage of Apple holiday deals gets lost in this mess, drowned out by exaggerated headlines and half-truths. It’s annoying to get your hopes up, only to find out you’ve basically been psyched.
Ultimately, the holiday season still brings its fair share of joy, even if the sales hype tries its best to test our patience. Because despite the chaos, the thrill of finally getting a good discount is somehow worth the trouble.
