There is good news, there is great news, and then there is THIS news. Speculations around the lead actor for Steve Job’s biopic have ended, and, as you can tell, we couldn’t have been happier with the name that’s been announced. It’s our favourite superhero – Christain Bale a.k.a Batman.

There are so many reasons to be happy about this choice, the first being Mr. Bale’s rip-your-socks-off acting acumen. He is arguably amongst the finest actors around and adding to his acting finesse is the mind-boggling physical transformation he is known to undergo for every role. Truly, we’ve a got ourselves a perfect reel life Steve Jobs!

Last year, the much awaited (and extremely boring) iJobs / Jobs movie was released. It was an unworthy tribute to the tech legend in every way, beginning with Ashton Kutcher’s portrayal of this eccentric genius.

To be fair, the movie wasn’t all that bad, and Ashton did put up a good performance. But the sentiment echoed by every Apple fan was that this was NOT the tribute that Jobs deserved. It was an average fan film at best.

This new movie (produced by Sony) is based on the Steve’s official biography written by Walter Isaacson, giving this biopic a definite edge right away. It is also reported to present Steve’s story through 3 behind the scenes happenings at Apple keynote event. This ensures that the narration won’t be cramped, something that the first movie was guilty of. And the icing on the cake is undoubtedly Batman playing the tech legend!

The movie hits the theatres next year and we are all excited; probably just as excited as we’d be for Apple product launches. Yay!!
