    Foldable iPhone Rumours, Unfolded

After years and years (and yes, years) of waiting, it finally feels like things are turning around for Apple fans. The ultimate iPhone – the foldable iPhone – appears to be on its way. At this point, it’s as close to confirmed as Apple rumours get. Whether you’ll be able to get your hands on it this year, that’s another story.

If you thought that the rumour mill was already working pretty hard ever since the conception of this iPhone, well, now they are working overtime. So here we are, swimming in leaks, reports, and speculations. Let’s dive into what insiders are saying so far about Apple’s long-awaited foldable.

    Design

Let’s start with the obvious—it folds. That’s kind of the whole point.

The foldable iPhone is expected to look compact and pocket-friendly when closed, with a primary display of around 5.4 inches. Open it up, and you’ll be looking at a much larger (possibly) 7.6-inch screen—almost tablet territory (think, slightly smaller iPad mini).

What’s really interesting is Apple’s reported focus on an almost crease-free inner display. If they pull this off, it could easily set the foldable iPhone apart from most foldables currently out there.

    Camera

It’s an iPhone, so it goes without saying that the camera is going to be good, but I’ll say it anyway.

The foldable iPhone is rumoured to come with a dual-camera setup, featuring wide and ultrawide lenses. This is very much in line with what we’ve seen on recent iPhones, so you can expect solid photos and dependable video quality.

There’s a possibility that the telephoto lens might be missing which might disappoint Macro Photography lovers. But for everyday photography, the setup should be more than capable—and very Apple-like in its consistency.

    Hardware

On the hardware front in general, one interesting rumour is the return of Touch ID, this time as a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It’s a practical move, especially for a device that can be used in both folded and unfolded modes.

Buttons like the power switch and volume rocker are expected to be positioned with comfort in mind, making the phone easy to use no matter how you’re holding it.

    Software

Apparently, Apple is leaning heavily on iPadOS-style features to make the most of the larger unfolded screen. Split-screen multitasking, drag-and-drop between apps, and layouts designed specifically for a bigger display could turn this device into a serious productivity tool.

    Pricing  (Brace Yourself)

Now for the part that might sting a little!

The foldable iPhone is expected to be Apple’s most expensive smartphone yet, with prices starting at around ₹2 lakhs. That premium pricing reflects the new tech, complex engineering, and of course, the Apple logo. So basically, a device that costs way more than yearly rent for a lot of us, but then again, when has a high price point ever stopped true Apple fans.

Of course, all of this is based on the latest set of rumours—and there’s still plenty of time before Apple officially lifts the curtain. As launch day creeps closer, we’re bound to get clearer details, more leaks, and probably a few surprises along the way. For now though, this is what we’ve got. Are you excited that the foldable iPhone is finally on its way?
