For the past couple of years, the market has been buzzing on and off with rumours that Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, is about to step down. After Apple’s September launch this year, those rumours flared up again. A bunch of gossip sites and even some news sites claimed he’d retire on his 65th birthday, November 1. Well, that day came and went, but Tim Cook didn’t go anywhere. The man just keeps outliving the retirement rumours.
Now the latest word is that he’s not likely to leave until at least mid-2026—and even that isn’t certain. So anything before then is probably just wishful thinking. Honestly, I don’t get why people are so obsessed with predicting his retirement. Let the poor man live his life—well not poor, but you know what I mean. He’ll step down when he feels like it. Tim Cook may or may not retire next year, but I hope these rumours about his retirement do!
Although, with the way these rumours pop up every few months, it could make for a pretty entertaining betting game.
