The launch of iPhone 7 is months down the line; and yet, the curious cats that we are, we can’t help seek out and revel in all the leaks and rumours going around the Internet. The latest is a bunch of leaked photos of what could well be the next iPhone!
The images first appeared on Bastille Post, a Chinese website. The leaked image (the one on the left) is placed next to an iPhone 6s for comparison. They look pretty much the same, except for the much hated antenna lines that are missing on the newer phone. Thank God for that!
Do you see the three dots at the bottom? These appear to be for a Smart Connector. Apple first introduced this technology with the iPad Pro. It can transmit both data and power at the same time and can be paired with accessories.
If you are also wondering what these three dots are doing on the iPhone, we’ll let you in on our thoughts. Considering that the 3.5 mm jack might well be left out, we believe that the Smart Connector might be for the new earphones!
The new phone also has space for a dual camera, just like we’d reported a while back. However, there’s another set of photos that shows the new iPhone with only a single lens.
In what is apparently the back shell of the new iPhone, the image clearly shows just one single slot for the camera. The smaller hole next to it is for the flash.
There’s another leaked image (courtesy of CNBeta) that shows an antenna bar on the new iPhone 7. Although, we have to admit that the new styling looks pretty rad!
Obviously, these are all conjectures pouring in from unconfirmed sources. It’s really hard, at this stage, to judge their credibility. And given that the iPhone 7 isn’t going to be released for another six months, any of these details (even if they were presently true) could be changed several times over in this time frame.
