When it comes to innovation, beauty, and user experience, the one company everyone looks up to is Apple. Their products always create a stir in the market and remain a topic of discussion for months on end. They did it with the iPhone 7 series and then again with the MacBook Pro 2016 series. Heck, even their future products, the ones that are still in the making, grab the limelight.

Take the iPhone 8, for instance. Everyone is so excited about what it’s going to look like. It’s already made it to the list of ‘Things to buy in 2017’. Here are some of the more prominent features that we’re likely to see in the iPhone 8.

    Tap to Wake

All the Android users are familiar with this feature. Your phone wakes up to show the time or the song being played when you tap on the screen. iPhone users, on the other hand, need to lift up the phone or press the home button to do the same. Not anymore!

    Glass Body

Apple is in the process of overhauling the material and display for the new line of phones. We’ll be witnessing the glass structured iPhone series (akin to iPhone 4), which will be strong, but quite light. Rumours are that Apple is considering between Foxconn and Nikkei as manufacturers of the iPhone 8.

    Fast Charging

The iPhone 8 might come equipped with fast charging feature or even wireless charging. We’re not sure if this will be done via a built-in USB 3.1 or some other alteration in the phone’s design, but we’re kicked about this feature nonetheless.

    3 Models

There are expected to be 3 models, 4.7 inches, 5 inches and 5.5 inches, which will be called iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus, and iPhone 8 respectively.

The features mentioned above are all standard, but the one that’s gotten us truly interested is that iPhone 8 might come with edge-to-edge display. How cool is that?

This year being the 10th anniversary of the iPhone, we’re expecting nothing short of absolutely ‘supercalifragilisticexpialidocious’ fantastic. If Apple wants to keep up their status of being innovators and industry leaders, if they want to make up for declining sales, they need to get their act together. And, they need to give us a product that kicks some serious ass!
