Yesterday, Apple announced the dates for its annual Worldwide Developers Conference. WWDC 2026 will be held online from June 8 to June 12—a nearly week-long experience focused on connection, technology, and innovation.
The WWDC is basically a tech fair—bringing together developers from around the world—it remains one of Apple’s most anticipated events. In addition to the online sessions, developers and students will also have the opportunity to attend a special and limited in-person celebration at Apple Park on June 8.
The keynote on day one will likely feature the big announcements. This is typically when Apple showcases the next versions of its operating systems and other major launches, and this year should be no different. WWDC 2026 will herald major updates across all Apple platforms—we are likely to see the debut of iOS 27, along with the macOS 27, iPadOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27.
After years and years of waiting, finally, a Siri overhaul might be coming our way as well (and hopefully, with a better brain!).
Apple has already confirmed that this year, there will be a major focus on advancements in AI as well as some exciting new software and developer tools. We may also be getting better insights about what Apple is cooking for the September season.
As Apple puts it, the event promises a week full of technology, creativity, and community. With a wide range of launches, updates, and more than 100 video sessions lined up, it looks like it’s going to be a great week to be a tech geek.
