Pride month’s coming soon! And you know what that means — new Pride watch faces! Yup, Apple has launched two new watch loops and watch faces, designed with the Pride flag as inspiration. The new band has a gradient pattern and the word “pride” woven into the strap through a new method of removing the double-layered nylon-woven textile loops. The watch face has vertical stripes of different colours representing the colours of the LGBTQ+ community. Cool, isn’t it?
Apple has also partnered up with Nike and released a Pride Edition sports loop with a rainbow-themed Nike bounce watch face.
Although the watch bands are compatible with all Apple Watches, the watch face is not compatible with all devices. Only Series 4 or later watches running the latest watchOS 8.6, connected to an iPhone running iOS 15.5 or later, can access the unique watch face.
The Pride edition watch face is already available on compatible devices, and the bands are currently up for sale for ₹3,900 (for India) through the Apple online store. The loops also hit the shelves at many Apple authorised stores yesterday, so check with your local sellers if you want to see them in person!
