It’s been almost two months since Apple inaugurated its third official store in India at Noida. The attention is now shifting to the next locations for the new Apple Stores in India, rumoured to be opening in Mumbai and Hyderabad. While Apple is yet to officially confirm its plans for the Hyderabad store, the Mumbai store is expected to open as early as next month.
The speculations around the Hyderabad store gained traction after Apple’s official jobs portal listed multiple retail roles in the city. The openings include Store Leader, Senior Manager, and Genius—positions that typically make up the core team of an Apple retail store. Apple is known to begin recruitment nearly a year before a store opens, which suggests that the Hyderabad store is expected to open in early 2027.
Apple’s plans for expanding its retail presence in Mumbai (with one store already operational in BKC) were officially addressed in December 2025 by Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Retail and People. While talking about the company’s long-term commitment to the country, she confirmed that another Apple Store in Mumbai would open soon.
The upcoming Apple Store launches in Hyderabad and Mumbai are a testament to the company’s broader retail expansion strategy in the country.
