Fresh off the Press! WWDC 2023 Is All Set To Amaze You This Summer!

Is it that time already? Yup! Apple just announced the 2023 edition of the World Wide Developer Conference! Does that mean we can look forward to some new updates, new features, and maybe even some long-awaited hardware? One can only wonder what Tim has in store for us.

This year’s WWDC is all set for a 5-day run, from June 5th to the 9th. As Apple’s vice president of worldwide developer relations, Susan Prescott puts it, the annual event is bound to be the ‘biggest and most exciting’ yet. Hmmm … now where have we heard that before?

    Catalogue 2023. Maybe.

As usual, the imaginative and hopeful minds of the audience have started working overtime at the mere mention of ‘WWDC’ (yes, me included!). Rumours here, rumours there, rumours, rumours everywhere. Some bizarre, some boring, but most of them do stick. For instance, I am hearing of a new version of all the different operating systems. I am pretty sure WWDC will show us all the new shticks the latest updates will have. iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS 14, watchOS 10, and tvOS 17 are all pretty much confirmed to make an appearance at this event. Just hope we get some cool additions or some much-wanted changes like an overhaul of the App library or making Siri a bit smarter (they could use the upgrade honestly).

Now that we’ve got the basics covered with the standard software updates, it’s time to enter fantasy land! After all, what really catches our eye and tickles our minds is the hope of new hardware we might witness. We have all been hearing of the myth that is Apple’s VR headset. For years and years, we’ve been waiting for Apple’s take on the device. Is it time? Will 2023 be the year? Only Timmy knows. All we can do is hope.

Apart from the long-awaited VR headset, Apple might also give us a glimpse of the 15-inch MacBook Air. There’s also the Mac Pro with Apple Silicon. Well, 2023 seems to be a very good year, doesn’t it?

Ever since Covid hit, WWDC has been reaching people in a semi-online and semi-offline fashion. This year though, it’s all online. There will be an in-person experience on the first day, but that’s about all. The rest of the conference will be all virtual.

It’s fair to say that news of WWDC23 has grabbed our attention. Will you be tuning in? Tell us in the comments!
