Apple’s Peek Performance event on March 8 came with many highlights, from the 2022 iPhone SE and iPad Air to the Mac Studio, Apple Studio Display, and the lightning fast M1 Ultra chipset. In the midst of this, Apple also introduced two new colour options for the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro models, namely Green and Alpine Green.
New iPhone 13 Colours
Same time last year, Apple introduced a new purple colour for only the iPhone 12 and 12 mini models. This time around, Tim Cook announced new shades for the iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Apart from the new colours, the iPhone 13 remains mechanically unchanged.
The new shades are Green and Alpine Green, meant for the lower-end and higher-end 13 models respectively. The regular iPhone 13 and the mini model receive the Green shade treatment, and both Pro models are available in the Alpine Green hue. From the start, the iPhone 13 and 13 mini had a shinier finish while the Pro model’s colours were in matte, and the new releases seem to follow the same model.
The Alpine Green colour is created using layers of nanometre-scale metallic ceramics and the iPhone 13 Pro has a matte finish back glass and shiny stainless steel frame. On the other hand, the regular iPhone 13 and 13 mini have a darker shade of green and matte finished aluminium frame.
All four models of the iPhone 13 series went up for pre-order on March 11 and shipments will begin from March 18. The best part? Prices of the iPhone 13 series remain unchanged.
Of course, Apple also introduced some new iPhone wallpapers based upon the new hues of Alpine Green and Green. You can download the wallpapers from the 9to5Mac website here. Anyway, what’s your opinion on the new colour options for iPhone 13 and 13 Pro?
